How did you hear about our organization?
We have been grateful partners with your organization for several years. In addition to receiving grant funding support, we have been honored to be the recipient of the “Sneakin Back to School” sneaker collection, which has provided much-needed shoes to the children we serve. Members of your club also volunteer with us, further strengthening our connection. We are deeply thankful for this ongoing partnership and the meaningful impact it has had on youth in foster care.
What do you believe we can provide your organization?
We believe your organization can provide not only financial support, but also meaningful community partnership. Your continued investment allows us to meet the ongoing material needs of children in foster care—ensuring they have access to clothing, shoes, books, and essentials each month. Beyond funding, your volunteer engagement and community initiatives help raise awareness about the realities children in foster care face and expand the circle of people who are committed to supporting them. Together, we can ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels seen, valued, and supported by their community.
What will the grant be used for?
The $2,500 grant will be used to support the full Twig shopping experience for children in foster care. This includes providing clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, books, and accessories, as well as creating a welcoming and supportive environment where children feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Funds also help cover operational costs associated with running the experience, such as volunteer support, space setup, and program coordination, ensuring each child has a positive and empowering visit.

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?
This $2,500 grant will provide approximately 25 children in foster care with the full Twig shopping experience, valued at an estimated $100 per child. This includes clothing, shoes, books, accessories, and the supportive, encouraging environment that makes each child feel seen, valued, and celebrated by their community.

While children come to The Twig from nine counties across Southwest Florida, in February alone our shopping experience directly served over 120 children in Manatee County and around 100 children in Sarasota County. Each child receives clothing, shoes, books, accessories, and the full supportive shopping experience that helps them feel seen, valued, and encouraged.
