Selah Freedom is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending sex trafficking and bringing freedom and restoration to individuals who have been exploited. We support survivors through trauma-informed residential care, life skills development, and holistic programs that foster healing and independence. What do you believe we can provide your organization?
We believe TLC Women’s Giving Circle can provide critical financial support that directly improves the daily lives of women in our long-term residential Safe Home. Your investment would help create a warm, welcoming environment through family-style meals and restorative rest, both essential to healing from trauma. Beyond funding, we value the opportunity for partnership, accountability, and shared commitment to strengthening our local community and supporting women on their journey toward stability, dignity, and independence.
What will the grant be used for?
The grant will be used to purchase a new dining room table and chairs to support family-style meals in our long-term residential Safe Home, as well as new twin comforter sets and pillows for all residents. These items will directly enhance daily living by fostering community connection, emotional healing, and restorative sleep for survivors of sex trafficking. The funding will improve comfort, dignity, and quality of life in a safe, trauma-informed residential environment.

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?
This grant will support approximately 15 women residing in our long-term residential Safe Home, with a direct financial impact of about $133 per resident. Each individual will benefit from a welcoming communal dining space and new bedding that promotes comfort, dignity, and restorative rest within a trauma-informed healing environment.

This project will directly serve approximately 15 women currently residing in our long-term residential Safe Home in Manatee County, as well as future residents who will move into the home throughout the years as program transitions occur. All individuals served are survivors of sex trafficking receiving trauma-informed residential care and support.
