How did you hear about our organization?
We first learned about your organization through Barbara Najmy. A community member shared the grant opportunity with us, thinking we would be a good partnering organization for your mission.
What do you believe we can provide your organization?
Investing philanthropic dollars to support women and families creates lasting impact by breaking cycles of poverty, increasing access to essential resources, and empowering communities. A community of women, such as TLC Women’s Giving Circle, supporting a nonprofit serving women is powerful because it fosters a network of shared experiences, mentorship, and advocacy. Women understand the unique challenges and barriers other women face, making their support not only empathetic but also deeply impactful. This collective strength helps drive awareness, increase resources, and expand the nonprofit’s reach, ensuring more women receive the support they need. When women uplift each other, they create lasting change that benefits families, communities, and future generations.
What will the grant be used for?
This grant will directly empower two women through the Pathways to Success program by providing scholarships that open doors to higher-paying job opportunities. These women are actively investing in their futures by enrolling in post-secondary degree or certification programs. But the impact goes beyond just their education—this program breaks the cycle of intergenerational poverty, creating lasting change not only for them but for their families as well.
At the heart of our mission is securing a stronger financial foundation for women, ensuring that they have the resources to achieve stability, independence, and success.
This grant will fund two TLC Women’s Giving Circle Scholarships, providing each recipient with a $1,000 scholarship along with access to critical wraparound support services, including:
* A year-long pass to all WRC programs, including mental health counseling
* Financial assistance guidance, including emergency client funds
* Access to affordable devices, internet, and digital literacy training through our Digital Navigators program
* Unlimited visits to the WRC Career Closet, ensuring they have professional attire for job opportunities
By investing in these women, we are investing in stronger families, a stronger workforce, and a stronger future.

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?
These funds will support individuals through scholarship dollars as well as wrap services and client emergencies funds to offset unexpected expenses such as car repairs that can take people off their path. The direct financial impact is $2,250 per individual.
Please provide the estimated number of women, children and families impacted.
These funds will support 2 clients through a scholarship, but it is important to note that the overall participation in WRC programs last year included 2,900 individuals. Of these clients, 1,100 are parents of children under the age of 18 living at home. Combined they have 2,307 children​ and stability for parents leads to better outcomes for children​. I am also happy to share that four families purchased their first homes last year​!

Additionally, we will showcase your generosity in the donor spotlight section of WRC’s monthly impact report, reaching over 5,000 engaged supporters with an impressive 48% open rate—ensuring your commitment to empowering women is seen by a broad and influential audience.
Beyond financial support, we invite your members to play a hands-on role in transforming lives by volunteering with WRC. Opportunities include serving as mentors and advocates for our scholars, as well as engaging in a variety of impactful roles that directly support women on their journey to financial stability and success.
