What do you believe we can provide your organization?
With the Lake Club Women’s Circle’s support our senior neighbors can be empowered to remain independent in their home. We are proud to share that:
– 98% of our clients say receiving our meals keep them independent in their home.
– 94% of clients report improved quality of life since receiving our services.
– 87% of clients feel less isolated because of their connection with our volunteers.
– 82% of their health has improved since receiving our meals.
What will the grant be used for?
All the funding provided from the Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle will go towards our Home Delivered Meal Program. In 2025, we served 119,287 meals to 886 clients. Funding will help us provide a nutritious meal and social connection to residents aged 60 years and older with a household income at or below $43,890 (275% federal poverty level) for a person living alone. Funds will be used to subsidize meal costs for clients that have outlived their financial means and receive our services at a reduced rate or free. The need is great, in 2025 we received 428 new client applications.
A knock at the door might not seem like a big deal to many of us. But, to a homebound senior, it could signal the arrival of the only person they may see all day or all week long. It brings hope. It brings health. It brings nutrition and care. A knock from Meals on Wheels can even save lives.

The average client receives 22 meals per month. We measure most of our impact per meal not per individual. This is because clients receive meals on different days per their request. They get the option to choose what days they would like to receive meals.

If we receive a grant from the Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle, we will make sure to post on social media about the funding to show their impact. We will also release a press release about the funding and include a feature in our daily slideshow about this opportunity. Finally, we invite members to ride along while we deliver meals for them to experience the gratitude first-hand
