Mission Statement:
DD’s Miracle Minis provides therapeutic benefits to disabled and able-bodied children and adults through animal-assisted activity and therapy visits with miniature horses, leading to improved outcomes of physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Through on site visits to hospitals, assisted living communities, schools, community outreach programs and others in need, DD’s Miracle Minis brings a sense of love, joy, laughter and smiles at every encounter. As a federally recognized Non-Profit Organization; 501©(3)we rely solely on donations, grants, sponsorships and fundraising to carry out our mission. We are so thankful for everyone who helps to make this possible.

How did you hear about our organization?
I initially heard of you from a past member, but have since followed your work in the community.
What do you believe we can provide your organization?
The Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle is greatly respected in our community for your service and financial support. It is always an honor to be connected to your organization and a continued partnership will allow us to carry out our mission of providing therapeutic services to those in our community that need it most.
What will the grant be used for?
This year’s grant will support a new program we are hoping to launch this summer, Pony Pals. Pony Pals will be a summer camp hosted at our farm for children who have experienced trauma and/or loss. The first group we hope to host are families from The Mark Wandall Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating support for youth in grief. Each child will be paired with a mini horse and a buddy for the week. They will have hands-on, educational, and confidence-building experiences, learning horse care, grooming, leading, and ground training in a safe environment. Activities will include obstacle courses, crafts, with a heavy focus on bonding with their mini’s. These type of hands-on experience are proven to build trust, confidence and an overall improvement in emotional and social well being.

We can host up to 8 campers each week; $250 per camper; $2,000 for one week.
Please provide the estimated number of women, children and families impacted.
One week of camp will directly impact 8 children, and have a positive impact on each child’s entire family.

If awarded this grant, we will ensure The Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle support is visible to our participants

in our newsletters, and/or events. We would also love to host your members again to see our (almost) completed barn and would value any insight or event suggestions you may want to share.
