As many of you know, our organization is currently in the process of establishing itself as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This exciting step will allow us to expand our impact and continue supporting women, children, and families throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
Over the past few weeks, the Board has gathered feedback from members and carefully evaluated potential naming options that reflect both our mission and our strong connection to The Lake Club community.
As we evaluated these options, we considered several important factors, including our long-term growth as an independent nonprofit, our ability to engage donors and partners throughout the region, and the importance of maintaining our roots within The Lake Club community.
Based on this process, we have identified three potential name options. We invite all members to participate in this brief vote to help guide the Board in selecting the name that best represents the future of our organization.
As part of this evaluation process, the Board also consulted with legal counsel regarding naming considerations as we transition to becoming an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The three names we would like to vote on are:
- Option 1: The Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle (No Change to Current Name)
- Option 2: The Lake Club Giving Circle
- Option 3: The Lake Club Women’s Charitable Foundation
