Mission Statement
Founded in 2012 and designated a 501 (c) 3 public charity in 2017, CreArte Latino Cultural Center celebrates Latino and Hispanic heritage and promotes cultural exchange through arts and education. We envision a thriving community where Latino/Hispanic art and culture inspire connection and pride, creating welcoming, bilingual spaces where people of all backgrounds connect through theater, music, dance, visual arts, and lifelong learning, preserving cultural traditions while building bridges of understanding, belonging, and opportunity across our diverse community.
How did you hear about our organization?
We’re a prior grantee.
What do you believe we can provide your organization?
The TLC Women’s Giving Circle could make a meaningful difference by sponsoring parent and family attendance at CreArte Latino’s youth performances and showcases. We respectfully request $3,000 to provide complimentary admission for parents and caregivers from low-income families who would otherwise be unable to attend their children’s performances.
For many of our families, purchasing tickets for multiple household members creates a financial hardship. Yet a parent’s presence in the audience is one of the most powerful affirmations a child can receive. Watching their child perform builds confidence, reinforces family bonds, celebrates cultural identity, and encourages continued participation in arts education.
This sponsorship would ensure that no child performs without the support of loved ones in the audience because of financial barriers. It would also strengthen family engagement, create joyful shared experiences, and reinforce our commitment to making the arts accessible to everyone, regardless of income. TLC Women’s Giving Circle members would be directly investing in children, families, and a more connected, inclusive community.
What will the grant be used for?
The requested $3,000 grant will provide complimentary admission for 150 parents, caregivers, and family members from low-income households to attend their children’s theater, music, and dance performances at CreArte Latino Cultural Center. At an estimated $20 per person, the funding will remove financial barriers that often prevent families from participating in these milestone events.
Parent attendance is a critical component of our youth arts programs. Having loved ones in the audience reinforces children’s confidence, celebrates their achievements, strengthens family engagement, and encourages continued participation in arts education. This investment ensures that every child has the opportunity to perform before the people who matter most, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?
The grant will provide a direct financial impact of $20 per individual, covering complimentary admission for 150 parents, caregivers, and family members from low-income households to attend their children’s theater, music, and dance performances. While the monetary investment is $20 per person, the impact extends far beyond the ticket value by increasing family engagement, celebrating student achievement, strengthening cultural pride, and ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent families from sharing these important milestone experiences together.

Anything else you would like to share with us?
CreArte Latino Cultural Center is more than an arts organization; it is a community built by and for the people it serves. Every year, thousands of residents come together through bilingual performances, arts education, cultural celebrations, and community programs that foster belonging, understanding, and connection across cultures. Much of this impact is made possible by our dedicated volunteers, who contribute their time, talents, and lived experiences as mentors, artists, ushers, educators, event assistants, and community ambassadors. Many are former participants or parents who choose to give back because they have experienced CreArte’s impact firsthand.
We are equally grateful for the foundations, corporate partners, local businesses, and individual donors who believe in our mission and invest in our work. Their generosity allows us to provide scholarships, remove financial barriers, fairly compensate artists and educators, and expand access to culturally rooted arts experiences for children and families. Together with our volunteers and community partners, these supporters help ensure that CreArte remains a welcoming place where people of all backgrounds can connect, celebrate cultural diversity, and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
