Have you previously received a grant? No

If yes, please indicate the year(s):

How did you hear about our organization?

Our Vice President, Josh Boorum, through his company Noah Grey Music, is donating entertainment for an upcoming event benefiting your organization. Through that connection, we learned more about your work and the opportunity to apply for funding.

What do you believe we can provide your organization?

Financial support that will allow The Sisterhood Project USA to expand the number of scholarships we provide to children and teens in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. As a young, fully volunteer-run nonprofit, grant funding directly increases our ability to say “yes” to more children who otherwise may not have access to extracurricular opportunities.

What will the grant be used for?

Grant funds will be used directly to provide scholarships for local children and teens facing difficult circumstances to participate in sports, music, art, and other extracurricular programs. Funds are paid directly to the organizations providing these activities, removing the financial barrier for families and giving children access to positive, confidence-building experiences, mentorship, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Provide the grant amount you are seeking: $10,000.00

Do you provide services to Sarasota and/or Manatee County? Yes

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?

Scholarship costs vary depending on the activity and length of the program, but typically range from approximately $250–$1,000 per child. Funding may cover registration, tuition, lessons, camps, or participation fees for sports, music, and arts programs. The Sisterhood Project USA pays these costs directly to the program provider so families are not required to pay out of pocket.

Please provide the estimated number of women, children and families impacted.

We estimate that this grant would directly provide 15–25 local children and teens with scholarships, depending on the cost and duration of each program. Each scholarship also positively impacts the child’s family by removing the financial burden associated with participation. All grant funding would be designated for children and teens served within Sarasota and/or Manatee County.

May we tour your facility? Yes

What reciprocal benefit can you provide our organization:

Anything else you would like to share with us?

The Sisterhood Project USA was created from personal loss, but with a very simple purpose: to make sure children facing difficult circumstances still have access to the parts of childhood that bring joy, confidence, connection, and opportunity. Although we are a young organization, we have already seen firsthand what can happen when a child is given the opportunity to participate in something they otherwise would have gone without.
We are a fully volunteer-run organization, which allows us to keep our overhead low and focus our resources on directly supporting children and families. We are incredibly grateful to be considered for this grant and would be honored to turn this funding into tangible opportunities for children right here in our community.
