How was the money used?

The grant from the Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle was used to support Tidewell’s Blue Butterfly Family Grief Program. Blue Butterfly is designed for children, ages 4 to 18, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their lives. Your funds provided children with supportive peer groups and individual counseling from master’s level clinical counselors. Blue Butterfly helped children to process their grief and cope with life’s challenges.

Was there an unexpected benefit or a special outcome from this grant that you would like to share? Yes

If yes, please explain:

The financial support of TLCWGC has given us the opportunity to connect with your members. Many of them have volunteered for Blue Butterfly or have supported our annual holiday program. The more people learn about our program, the more children we are able to help.

367 children and 275 caregivers
