How was the money used?

The funds were used to provide a $100 stipend for (8) youth entrepreneurs who participated in the Bradenton Public Market Youth Booth.

Was there an unexpected benefit or a special outcome from this grant that you would like to share? Yes

If yes, please explain:

The Youth Booth was a fairly new concept and while we hoped for success, the program has been successful beyond our expectations. The funds from this grant were used to provide a stipend or capital investment for youth interested in selling their wares and becoming entrepreneurs. In our post survey with the youth, 100% of the participants thought the Start-up Guide and mentorship was valuable, 100% of the youth said they improved their business skills as a result of their experience with the program, and 100% want to return. We expected this concept to be successful, however, never expected 100% of participants to respond so favorably. This has led the team to seek additional opportunities for youth entrepreneurs to participate in the market while still welcoming new, first-time entrepreneurs.

How many people were impacted by this grant?

8 youth directly benefitted from this grant. Indirectly, 24,000 Bradenton Public Market participants benefitted from the youth booth participation.
