How was the money used?
The money donated by the TLC Women’s Giving Circle was used to fund the day to day operations of our organization. While that may seem “boring,” it is the day to day operations of our organization that successfully connect uninsured Manatee County residents with specialty physicians, at no cost to them. In our last state fiscal year, we connected 315 individuals with free specialty care, resulting in over 900 free medical office visits and over $850,000 of value in donated medical care. We Care Manatee also provided over $27,000 in free pharmaceutical prescriptions as prescribed by our volunteer specialty physicians. Your organization’s grant to We Care Manatee assisted in funding these results.
