How was the money used?
The grant funds were used to help offset the costs associated with our Holiday Menu, providing nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals for individuals and families residing at Harvest House during the holiday season. These meals helped create a sense of normalcy, dignity, and celebration for those who otherwise may not have had access to a special holiday meal.
Was there an unexpected benefit or a special outcome from this grant that you would like to share? Yes
If yes, please explain:
Beyond helping defray food costs, the grant contributed to an atmosphere of warmth and community during the holidays. Shared meals became a moment of connection for residents, staff, and volunteers, reinforcing a sense of belonging and care during what can be a particularly difficult time of year for those experiencing housing instability.
