How was the money used?

Second Chance Last Opportunity will use the $500 grant from the Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle to directly support our Women’s Empowerment Program and Safe Space Initiative.

The funds will be allocated as follows:

$200 – Program Supplies & Materials

Journals, empowerment workbooks, hygiene items, and self-care kits used during women’s support sessions.

$150 – Safe Space Maintenance

Cleaning supplies, room set-up materials, refreshments, and comfort items to ensure a welcoming and dignified environment where women feel safe to share their personal stories.

$100 – Workshop Facilitation Costs

Printing of curriculum materials, guest speaker support, and group activities designed to build confidence, life skills, and emotional wellness.

$50 – Outreach & Participant Support

Transportation assistance, reminder materials, and follow-up resources to help women remain engaged in the program.

Expected Outcomes:

Increased participation in women’s empowerment sessions.

Improved emotional well-being and self-confidence among participants.

A maintained, respectful, and supportive environment for women to heal and grow.

Although the funds have not yet been received, this budget reflects exactly how the grant will be used once disbursed to ensure immediate and measurable community impact.

How many people were impacted by this grant?

The $500 grant from the Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle is expected to directly impact 20 women participating in Second Chance Last Opportunity’s Women’s Empowerment and Safe Space Program. This allows for an estimated cost of $25 per participant, covering empowerment materials, hygiene/self-care kits, safe space maintenance, and supportive workshop resources. Through this funding, 20 women will receive direct services designed to increase self-confidence, emotional wellness, life-skills development, and access to a safe and supportive environment.
