Vote – Future Names Detailed Responses

I prefer having a shorter name, it’s easier for everyone. Also, if there are some activities where our husbands/men are involved, it is more inclusive.

I see no reason why this should not be open to all people. It might add different perspectives and expertise. Who knows?

That being said, I do like our current name and find good comradery and socialization.

I’m on the fence and totally comfortable with either of the first two options.

I would prefer combining the second and third to create, ‘The Lake Club Charitable Foundation.’. With out this, just The Lake Club Giving Circle. would be ok.

My personal FAVORITE! It is very inclusive using the name giving circle but provides the potential for men to join or even teenagers needing service hours.

Name explains charitable foundation and is non-profit that uses donated money to support good causes and help the public.

I like the second option because it could allow the Giving Circle to extend into a men’s or children’s group as well. I may even have a teenager at home who could be interested in getting involved with the TLC Kids’ giving circle.
Great work to all! Thank you for your efforts

I vote for changing to the Lake Club Women’s Charitable Foundation. The 2nd option implies that it could potentially be open to men as well which I’d be less in favor of. Husbands are already helping out with some service events, and helping when we need help with carrying things, etc. Changing to the Lake Club Women’s Charitable Foundation reinforces that we are not the same Women’s Giving Circle as from the early days. Unfortunately, there are still women here who did not have a positive experience early on. It was great to acknowledge (at the meeting at the Club House over a year ago) that mistakes were made early on in terms of the Board making all the decisions without asking for member’s input – but the women who needed to hear that the most weren’t there.

The name represents your mission. Women’s Giving Circle seems inclusive. Social, volunteerism & development. Foundation seems development only. That’s only my perception.

Would we ever consider The Lake Club Charitable Foundstion?

Any of these names is fine with me

I vote for but have to click on the least offensive of the three options.

The Lake Club Charitable Foundation

Hope there is opportunity in the future to evolve to:
The Lake Club Charitable Foundation

Thank you for all the hard work!

Let’s think big!
