Mission Statement

Stillpoint Mission reaches out to the disadvantaged in our community to meet basic daily needs including Food, Clothing, Diapers, Hygiene Items and Limited Financial Assistance for Utility Bills.

We are a 100% volunteer organization and receive no government assistance. We do not charge for our services. All grants and donations go directly to serve our clients.

How did you hear about our organization?

Stillpoint Volunteers know a number of your Foundation members, some of whom have volunteered at Stillpoint. In addition, we have seen articles in local papers about your organization and receive your newsletters detailing all of your wonderful work in the local community.

What do you believe we can provide your organization?

As we have in the past, we are requesting a grant of $3,000 for our Stillpoint Children’s Diaper Program. The program was established in 2011 to provide diapers and wet wipes to needy mothers for their children up to age 3 and ALL special needs children, regardless of age. Stillpoint hopes to promote the health and well-being of children in the community through our weekly distribution of these diapers and wet wipes.

Stillpoint serves the poor and homeless in Manatee County. The number of clients seeking our assistance increased 30% in 2025 and is on pace to increase another 14% in 2026. 90% of our clients are women and one of their most significant requests is for diapers for their infants and toddlers – a very expensive necessity.

Stillpoint Children’s Diaper Program is our fastest-growing outreach program. In 2025, we distributed over 482,000 diapers to needy mothers and, through the first seven months of 2026, we are on pace to distribute over 540,000 diapers this year.

What will the grant be used for?

All funds received by the program will be used to purchase diapers for distribution. $3,000 will provide approximately 17,000 diapers – a two week’s supply – for our inventory. We have a small facility with limited storage, so we replenish our inventory weekly.

Stillpoint is a 100% volunteer organization, so 100% of all grants and donations go directly to serve our clients’ families.

Provide the grant amount you are seeking: $3,000.00 to purchase approximately -17,000- diapers for distribution (a two week supply)

Do you provide services to Sarasota and/or Manatee County?
Yes

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?

In the first 6 months of 2026, Stillpoint distributed a total of 270,670 diapers to an average of 1,343 mothers per month. A $3,000 grant will purchase a two week’s supply of inventory (17,000 diapers) for distribution. Our clients tell us that being able to receive diapers for their child(ren) allows them to allocate their very limited resources to other necessities for their families.

Please provide the estimated number of women, children and families impacted.

Most of Stillpoint clients are from Manatee County, but we serve all that come seeking our help. We are currently serving 300-325 mothers per week in the Diaper Program, providing diapers (and wet wipes) in appropriate size(s) for each child. All mothers register their children with a birth certificate and provide an ID each week when they request diapers. Our Diaper database tracks all distribution by size of diaper and the child’s name to avoid duplication. The database also allows us to properly manage our inventory. All records are available to grantors for review at any time.
