How did you hear about our organization?

I learned about your organization through a friend.

What do you believe we can provide your organization?

Beyond the vital financial investment, partnering with The Lake Club Women’s Charitable Foundation offers our organization a collaborative relationship built on community impact and active engagement. Specifically, we believe our partnership provides TLCWCF with:
1. Community Credibility and Network Growth: Association with a respected, highly visible local foundation like TLCWCF elevates our profile, helping us build trust and attract new supporters across Manatee County.
2. Mission Alignment and Advocacy: Because TLCWCF is deeply committed to supporting women, children, and families in Manatee County, your members act as passionate ambassadors who truly understand the nuances of the challenges we are addressing in our local community.

What will the grant be used for?

Funding will support education & training to develop female civic leaders who develop programs focused on reducing food insecurity in the county. Through conferences, training and hands-on, community-based projects, JLMC equips local women with critical leadership, project management, and advocacy skills. These trained leaders then directly apply their talents to design, execute, and sustain targeted projects that address food insecurity in Manatee County.

Provide the grant amount you are seeking: $750.00

Do you provide services to Sarasota and/or Manatee County? Yes

What is the financial impact per individual/program this grant will provide?

A $750 grant investing directly in our 50 league members yields a financial impact of $15.00 per woman trained.
Through this grant, each participant receives hands-on leadership development and project management experience in creating sustainable food security programs. This initial $15.00-per-woman investment carries a powerful multiplier effect, enabling these 50 trained leaders to directly organize, mobilize, and deliver meal support to 100 food-insecure families (350 individuals) across Manatee County

Please provide the estimated number of women, children and families impacted.

This project will directly serve an estimated 350 food-insecure individuals across 100 families in Manatee County over the grant period.
A breakdown of those served includes:
-Families: 100 food-insecure families (representing approximately 350 total individuals, including women and children) receiving direct meal support.
-Women Leadership Development: 50 dedicated league members who undergo skill-building and training to design, execute, and sustain community-based food security initiatives.
-Geographic Focus: 100% of beneficiaries reside in Manatee County.
This initiative is organized and executed by these 50 league volunteers, who are deeply committed to improving our local community by creating sustainable, long-term programs to combat food insecurity.
