How did you hear about our organization?
Through research into local charitable foundations supporting nonprofit programs in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
What do you believe we can provide your organization?
TLC can strengthen Project Pride SRQ’s Loved Ones Support Group by providing materials that help family members and loved ones of transgender people build understanding, connect with peers and access helpful resources. We would also welcome a supplies drive organized by TLC members.
What will the grant be used for?
The grant will provide supplies for 12 monthly Loved Ones Support Group sessions during 2027, serving approximately 20 participants. The proposed budget includes journals, pens and guided activity materials ($600); creative-expression supplies ($400); printed educational and community-resource guides ($250); and sensory and comfort supplies ($250). Final selections will reflect facilitator guidance and participant needs within the approved categories. Project Pride funds facilitation separately.

Anything else you would like to share with us?
Project Pride SRQ’s Loved Ones Support Group offers a welcoming space for family members and loved ones of transgender people to ask questions, share experiences and build supportive relationships. By helping loved ones feel informed and connected, the program strengthens support within families and the broader community.
Project Pride already invests $2,400 annually in facilitation. Your $1,500 grant would complement that commitment by providing practical materials for approximately 20 participants across 12 monthly sessions in 2027. We would be grateful for the opportunity to introduce TLC members to our work and share the impact of your support while respecting participant confidentiality.
